Come chase the Pink Panther!

La-33 is an indie salsa band from Bogota that sounds fresher and hipper than any act out of Colombia in years.

Launched in 2001 by two brothers, Sergio (bass) and Santiago (piano) Mejia, living on 33rd Street in Bogota, La-33 combines a do-it-yourself ethic, a love of salsa's edgier roots and a desire to combine musical and visual elements to create an updated, multi-level salsa experience.

The band quickly captured attention when its 2004 recording "Pantera Mambo" liberated Henry Mancini's Pink Panther theme from the '60s cocktail lounge to the wilder streets of the Latin barrio---and to audiences throughout the world.

Stripping away the musical candelabra of romantic salsa and some of the mustier cliches of the Colombian salsa sound, La-33 has forged a thrilling path from Bogota's 33rd Street in 2008 right through to New York's Spanish Harlem circa 1971. It's a thrilling musical direction featuring an updated, sizzling mix of boogaloo, Latin jazz, son montuno, guajira, salsa and more!

That's the music route. Now La-33 invite you to chase the panther down it!
